Getting started
What it is
This page takes you from a new account to a first Agent at work: create your Organization and Workspace, connect an App, build an Agent, test it, publish it and put it on duty with an Automation. Each step links to the page that covers it in full.
Key concepts
- Organization and Workspace — your company, and the business area you work in. You create both when you sign up. See Organization.
- App — Gmail, Facebook, Haravan or Zalo, connected on Settings → Integrations. Your Tools and Automations act through it. See Apps.
- Tool — a fixed action the Agent may call, such as "look up an order". See Tools.
- Agent — the LLM worker that answers and acts. See Agents.
- Draft and published — you edit a draft; only the published version does real work.
- Automation — what starts the Agent's work without anyone pressing Run. See Automations.
How it works
- Sign up and create your Organization and first Workspace. You become the Organization's Owner and the Workspace's Admin.
- Connect the App your Agent will work with.
- Make or pick the Tools the Agent needs (optional for an Agent that only answers from its instructions).
- Create the Agent and save its draft.
- Test it on the Test tab.
- Publish it.
- Put it to work with an Automation, then watch it on Runs, in the Contact Center and in the Agent Inbox.
You can also let the FLAE Assistant do steps 3 and 4: describe the job in Chat and it builds the drafts for you to review and publish. See Chat with the Assistant.
Common tasks
1. Create your account and Workspace
- On Create your FLAE account, enter Full name, Email, Password (at least 8 characters) and Confirm password, then press Create account. Or press Continue with Google.
- With an email and password, FLAE shows Verify your email: the email must be verified before you can go on. Once it is, press I have verified my email. The app does not send the verification email itself yet; if none reaches you, use Use a different account and sign up with Continue with Google.
- Name your organization (step 1 of 2) and press Continue.
- Create your first workspace (step 2 of 2): a Workspace name, and optionally a Purpose and a Description. Press Create workspace.
- FLAE opens Chat, the Workspace's home page.
2. Connect an App
- Open Settings → Integrations.
- Under Available to connect, press Connect on the App and sign in to it.
- For Facebook, choose the Pages the Agent will answer while you sign in. They show under Connected Pages.
See Workspace settings.
3. Make the Tools the Agent needs
- Open Build → Tools and press New tool.
- Name it, fill in When should agents use this tool?, add its inputs, and add a step from Apps (for example Haravan "Get order"). Map the output.
- Press Create tool, run it on the Test tab, then press Publish. An Agent can only use published Tools.
See Tools.
4. Create the Agent
- Open Build → Agents, press New agent and choose Agent chat.
- Give it a name and write its instructions: who it is, what it handles, its rules, when to hand over to a person, its tone.
- Pick a Model, and add Tools by typing
@in the instructions or with Add tool. Write Tools that FLAE recommends approving start on Ask first. - Press Create Agent. It opens in the builder as draft v1.
See Agents.
5. Test it
- Open the Test tab and write as a customer would.
- Switch View to Details to see its Tool calls.
- Tools run for real here: reads hit the connected App and writes really happen once approved. Approvals and questions wait in the Agent Inbox.
6. Publish it
Press Publish in the builder header. If it is blocked, the to fix before publishing button lists what is left (instructions, a usable model, declared variables, published Tools).
7. Put it to work on Messenger
- Open Build → Automations and press Create automation.
- Pick A customer messages and press Continue.
- Choose the Page, and under Who answers the Agent you published. Press Start answering.
- The Agent now answers that Page on Messenger. Customers become Contacts automatically.
For work that starts from an App event instead, such as a new Haravan order, build a Workforce and run it from an App event Automation (see Automations).
8. Watch it work
- Runs shows each conversation the Agent handled, with every step. See Runs.
- Contact Center shows the conversations and lets you take one over. See Contact Center.
- Agent Inbox holds what the Agent needs from you: approvals, questions, hand-overs and reports. See Agent Inbox.
Limits and rules
- Building Agents and Tools needs the Workspace role Admin or Builder. Connecting Apps and creating Automations need Admin. As the person who signed up, you have both in your first Workspace.
- Message Automations answer Facebook Messenger only today. Zalo OA chats cannot be answered by a Message Automation yet; use an App event Automation on Zalo's "Message received" event that runs a Workforce.
- One Facebook Page can be bound to only one Automation across all Workspaces.
- Testing an Agent is not a dry run: its Tools act on your real App data.
- Pausing the Agent does not stop it answering. To stop it, pause the Automation on the Automations page.
- Credits shown in the app are sample numbers; nothing limits your work by Credits today. See Account and billing.
