Organization

What it is

The Organization is your company in FLAE. It holds your Workspaces, one per business area, and the people who work in them. You create it when you first sign up. Inside a Workspace, open Settings → Workspace and use the Organization part of the Settings menu: Organization for its name, Workspaces for the list of Workspaces; Manage workspaces in the workspace switcher also opens the list. When no Workspace is open, the left menu shows Organization → General and Workspaces directly.

Key concepts

  • Organization → Workspaces → members — an Organization has one or more Workspaces; each Workspace has its own members, Agents, Apps and data. See Workspace settings.
  • Organization roles
RoleWhat it can do
OwnerThe person who created the Organization. Renames it, creates Workspaces, and acts as an Admin in every Workspace.
AdminCreates Workspaces and acts as an Admin in every Workspace. Cannot rename the Organization.
MemberSees only the Workspaces where they have a Workspace role. Cannot create Workspaces.

Organization roles and Workspace roles are separate: an Organization Member's rights in a Workspace come from their Workspace role (Admin, Builder, Operator or Viewer).

  • Workspace status — each Workspace is Active, Paused or Archived. See Workspace settings.
  • Workspace switcher — at the top of the left menu: Switch workspace between the Workspaces you can see, or Manage workspaces to open the list.

How it works

  1. When you sign up, FLAE asks you to Name your organization (step 1), then to Create your first workspace (step 2).
  2. You become the Organization's Owner and the first Workspace's Admin.
  3. Every new Workspace starts Active, and the person who creates it becomes its Workspace Admin.
  4. Someone who belongs to the Organization but to no Workspace sees "No workspace yet".
